Friesen-Friesen Wedding

So a few weeks ago, or more like over a month ago, we drove up to Nebraska to celebrate my best cousin & her groom-to-be. It was a great weekend filled with family, friends, food & sustainability. The wedding was held on her parent's farm which has been carefully designed to allow them to live off the land as much as possible. Over the past 5+ years they have worked hard to make it a beautiful and bountiful piece of land. It was a beautiful place to have a wedding and thankfully the weather cooperated and didn't even give this 8+ months pregnant (at the time) girl too much trouble!

We enjoyed some pre-wedding pampering and then it was time to get ready.

The sun came out right before the wedding and it was a beautiful ceremony under the arbor made by CJ's Dad (I think) set in the meadow with the bountiful gardens in the background. I was honored to be one of Miriam's bridespeople and am so excited to see where God takes Miriam and CJ as one.

The family also got to meet my brother's new girlfriend. She is super sweet & we look forward to getting to know her better. She also fits in well with the family already picking on Nathan & playing it up for the camera!

It was also great to see Isaac & Jess who made it in from Indiana.

I wish I could post the adorable pictures of this little one, but sadly can not. She was a trooper and enjoyed all the extra attention from family.

Our lovely bump photo. Something about floral really emphasizes the bump!

I have to comment on Miriam's amazing dress. It was her Mother's dress that my Mom & her Mom made about 30 years ago. She modified it (removed the lovely sleeves & high neckline that was oh so fashionable in the early 80's??) and added lace made by her grandmother, as well as hand dyed lace & flowers that she crocheted herself. She is  super talented and super cute!

Love my beautiful best cousin and and so happy for the new Mr. & Mrs. Friesen!!
