We had 2 wonderful reasons to celebrate today. First & foremost, it is Easter Sunday. The day to celebrate Christ's death, resurrection & ascension through which we can have eternal life. A great reminder every year of the sacrifice Christ made for us.
Second of all, it happens to be the anniversary of my husband's birth. He got to sleep in, open presents and have a delicious Easter/Birthday morning egg casserole.
Just what every man wants right? A bottle of lighter fluid?
Is it time to eat yet?
We celebrated in the park with Tate's family that lives in Kansas City, T 7 & his family. It was a beautiful, sunny 70 degrees today and the prefect day to grill out steaks (& hot dogs for those under 10) in Tate's new grill at the park across the street. It is fun having family in town who can come hang out for impromptu birthday parties. They also helped us eat the delicious birthday cheesecake. FYI- if you don't pick what kind of birthday cake you want that means that the pregnant girl gets to pick what she wants ;)
So yummy. The recipe was from America's Test Kitchen cookbook (Thanks Ike & Jess!).
Samson and Hudson wish you all a Hoppy Easter!
