T9 + 1

Life as newlyweds has officially begun and we are loving FINALLY being husband and wife. The wedding went better than we could have imagined with about 200 of our close family and friends celebrating with us. It was great to get to see everyone & we are so thankful to all who came, especially those who had to travel from places like Guatemala, Grand Caymans, Utah, Ohio, Illinois, etc. We are very blessed to have such a great group of family and friends supporting us through this new journey.

Mr & Mrs Tate & Abby Williams

We enjoyed a wonderful, relaxing honeymoon in Vail, CO thanks to the Fox family. It was great to just be together and enjoy talking without hundreds of miles between us. We also got to celebrate my golden birthday. Tate did a wonderful job of planning ahead and having a surprise breakfast delivered to the room and spa appointments set up for me to get a massage and facial. It was wonderful to finally slow down and enjoy some pampering after the end of the semester and crazy wedding prep.

Birthday dinner at Te Amo in Vail. I got to start my day with crepes with fresh fruit and end it with Nutella Crepes!

Biking the Vail Pass

The rest of our time in Vail was spent recovering from nasty colds, catching up on some much needed sleep, hiking around Vail and biking through the beautiful Colorado scenery.

We are now back to "real" life in Cedar City. Our temporary home for the summer is all set up. It is in the basement of some friends from church's home and we are very greatful to have a place to call our own for the summer.

Tate leaves on Monday for his June trip to Haiti that will last about 18 days. He has been working from home for the past week and is itching to get back to where all the action is, and he can get some hands on work done. The job is continually changing and he is discovering just how much there is to be done.

I have now finished the first week of my clinical at the Valley View Medical Center. It is very different than what I am used to not only in terms of the type of physical therapy but in the speed. It is an acute care rotation on the medical/surgery wing & ICU wing of the hospital. It is a small town hospital that is pretty slow, so there is not much for the therapists to do. The positive to this is that the therapists are very laid back and are letting me do everything. The best part so far has been finding out that there is another student at the hospital with me. She is 4 weeks ahead of me in her rotation, but does not know anyone in Cedar so we are becoming fast friends.

As of right now, Tate & I will live in Cedar until the end of my clinical on July 23rd. At that point we will be moving back to the midwest, specifically Kansas City, MO. Tate will continue to commute to Haiti for 2 weeks of each month, and I will be back and forth between KC & Wichita for classes. We are a bit all over the map at this point, but trying to enjoy every minute we get together!!
