The Husband Returns!

Tate made his safe return on Friday. We are both very thankful that is he home for 2 weeks and that we can actually have some time together as husband and wife. We knew that this trip would be different for us, the first married trip to Haiti, but did it was a little more difficult that we realized it would be. We made it through just fine and hopefully he won't be gone for quite as long in the future.

Haiti is still very much in the rebuilding phase. Tate continues to make progress on work, but things move a little slower in a 3rd world country than he is used to. This trip he had quite a few added responsibilities so he was busy from start to finish. Prayer is much needed to open doors, provide insight, and to allow God's work to continue to be done.

Demolition of a building so that reconstruction can begin.

Some of the Global Orphan Project new construction.

Why did the donkey cross the river? ... To get to the other side! This is a river that Tate & the crew drove across the day before, but it was impassible by truck when they attempted the next day.

Future project site- the Mole (Mountain). Mole St. Nicholas with some beautiful banana and palm trees.

A lake near Mirebalias. An amazingly beautiful country in some areas!

We decided to make Tate's flight back into Vegas into a mini vacation by spending the night and taking our time enjoying the city before heading back to Cedar City.

The view from our room at the Riviera. We are starting a theme of staying across the street from construction sites!

The pool, unfortunately it didn't open early enough in the morning for us to enjoy it, but it looked wonderful.

Our view of the strip at night before we headed off to a welcome home dinner at Maggiano's Little Italy. So many yummy places to eat in Vegas and so little time.

Great evening & great to finally be together again!
