Adding #52 and First Time Parenting

Well the pregnancy and life are moving right along. Maybe a bit faster than we were ready for in the last few weeks, but thankfully it has slowed down a bit. Before life got too crazy I had a chance to make some yummy Black Bottom Banana Cupcakes in part to celebrate baby's length at 20 weeks.

We actually remembered to take a picture at 21 weeks. This also happened to be around the point where strangers started asking me when I was due and friends and family who hadn't seen me in a week or so started to make me feel really good by saying "Woah! You popped!". I know they meant it in a nice way, but still weird to get used to people being excited for me getting larger. Well people that aren't the sweet little old ladies from church anyway...

At week 22 we became parents and made our first cross country road trip with small children. It was WAY better than we thought it would be. We welcomed 2 little boys into our home ages 18 months and 2 months. They are amazingly well behaved boys who were super easy to love. Unfortunately due to state line issues we only got to care for them for just over a week, but we are happy to say that they are now with family and doing very well from what we hear.
(Sorry can't post pictures due to privacy. Ask me in person and I will show you some of our adorable little boys!)

We made the crazy trip to Chicago to see Tate's youngest brother get married. It was a beautiful wedding filled with lots and lots of family, just the way the Williams Clan likes it :) Ilinca was welcomed into the family as member #52!! And amazingly enough, all are present and accounted for in the picture below taken by Aunt Mary (Thanks!).

This is a small sampling of the nieces and nephews enjoying the dance floor. I think this was either duck-duck goose or lets compare toe nail polish color...

22 weeks with the hubby

The weekend after the wedding got to take a Babymoon trip to Haiti with a good friend from church. I will do a whole post for Haiti later because it is special that way. To celebrate baby's size I ate a fresh Haitian mango (weight of baby at 23 weeks) and got a picture with some fresh papaya's a week late (size at 22 weeks).

  1. So glad you had such great trips! You look so fabulous. Totally jealous as I am in my "fat bump" not baby bump stage. Sad I missed your quick trip though - would have loved to say hi.
